Join us for the inaugural Bay of Islands Seafarers Festival, a new community celebration bringing cruisers, locals, marine businesses and community groups together at Bay of Islands Marina.
Created to showcase the very best of the Bay of Islands, the festival will be a day of great kai, live entertainment, maritime displays, local businesses, family activities and plenty of opportunities to connect.
Whether you’re a lifelong local, visiting the Bay of Islands, arriving by sea or simply looking for a great day out, come along and be part of the festivities.

Where cruisers meet community
The Seafarers Festival also forms part of the Bay of Islands Cruisers Welcome 2026, our four-day welcome for international cruisers arriving in New Zealand for the season.
Saturday is when we bring everyone together, giving visiting cruisers the opportunity to meet our local community and experience some of the people, businesses, flavours and maritime culture that make the Bay of Islands such a special place.
