International vessels arriving in New Zealand need to have a clean hull to comply with New Zealand's biofouling requirements. More information is available the MPI website.  Domestic vessels that are coming from (or have spent time in) Whangarei or further south must supply proof that you have had an antifoul within 6 months (or a waterblast within 1 month) prior to arrival.
