Paul Stringer, Marina Manager

Paul Stringer is responsible for the day-to-day management of Bay of Islands Boatyard and Bay of Islands Marina.

Paul came to FNHL in 2017 from EnviroWaste Services Ltd in Auckland. Here he had full responsibility for a business unit turning over $23m a year, servicing customers ranging from large corporates through to small commercial organisations alongside a residential curb-side service in the greater Auckland area.

He trained as a boat-builder at Alexander Boats in Auckland, completing his apprenticeship in 1991. He has a trade certificate in ship, yacht and boat building and his career includes management and logistics in a wide range of industries, including construction, transport and marine operations.

The Marina Admin Team

Our marina team are your first point of contact for all your needs, whatever your needs, berthage, haulout or boatyard work. They have a wealth of information and are here to help make your stay enjoyable.

Bookings are made by contacting the team who are available 7 days a week 364 days of the year (closed Christmas day). Much of the activity of the marina centres on the admin office which also operates as Information Centre for local activities and events.

The office is located opposite the boat ramp and in the building beside the laundry and café.
