Once your vessel is secure and any Customs and MPI formalities have been carried out, we welcome you to join us at the Marina office to complete a short rental form and get acquainted. The friendly marina staff will do all they can to ensure you have a memorable stay in New Zealand. They are here to answer your questions and assist in every way they can.

Opua is a no discharge area. There is a toilet facility on the Q docile for your convenience.

There is no way around the paperwork required to stay longer than the initial three month visa. Consider applying and paying for a nine month multiple entry visa prior to entering the country. It may save time and money.

Customs can approve your entry upon arrival if you are holding a visa free country passport. See the New Zealand Customs and New Zealand Immigration websites for details.

The marina provides a free service including MPI restricted foodstuffs disposal. The quarantine area is on the northern end of the marina, inside the outer breakwater and is clearly marked.
